Welcome, Company Girls! Thanks for stopping by. Is it just me, or are the Small Things over at Home Sanctuary really making a difference?! This week we were challenged to hang up our clothes. Now, I’ll admit I usually have a half dozen items slouching over a chair, but hubby is even worse. He is a close horse and feels that the foot of the bed is a great place for him to pile his things. With that in mind, I present to you the “Before”:
And the “After”:
I’m even pleased to say that, several days later, the room continues to look even better. (Although I realize nothing matches! LOL) It’s amazing how one little thing (“Hang up clothes”) can motivate a person to continue on. I have so far to go, in so many corners of my home, but I am encouraged that in His timing, and with His help, all things are put into place.
Have a blessed week,
Cheryl

LOL - that poor plant! It certainly never imagined it would spend part of its life as a clothes hanger. The room looks so inviting with everything picked up. I realized a while ago that I really like my floors to be clear - even of things like baskets - since the room looks bigger and fresher. Good for you!
I should mention the plant wasn't under the clothes - I brought it down to help clothes from being piled again! Then I switched sides so the plant is on HIS side now. :)
Lookin good!
I am impressed. I must say that this small thing made a big difference at my house, too.
It is true how doing something small can motivate you to keep going! I have found that to be the case when I do Rachel Anne's "minimum maintinence"...after 5 minutes are up, sometimes I just want to keep going (unless I'm in the bathroom).
Yea! for you! Isn't is amazing what these "little things" can do for our lives. Your bedroom is lovely and I know you feel good every time you walk in to it. Way to go! Blessings for a great week-end!
The Small Things are DEFINITELY making a big difference! Your room looks so good now. Keep up the good work!
Wow, that looks GREAT! Fantastic job on the clothes and the rearrangement/sprucing up. The room looks like a true sanctuary.
I LOVE doing these together...hanging up my own clothes wasn't very fun, but knowing everyone else was working on it make it "OK." Seeing photos makes it awesome!
I have to agree - that "small thing" suggestion actually got me to put the laundry away RIGHT AWAY this week, versus leaving it til "later".
Have a GREAT weekend!
Great job! Nothing in our house matches either. Oh well. It's clean and organized. =p
That is incredible. I have a husband that leaves his clothes all over the house and since this small thing he has not left anything around for long at least. Hurray for Rachel Anne.
awesome clean up job!!! all i've done it seems the last two weeks is laundry so i'm continuing to work through my (literal) mountain!!
Awesome! I can relate, a couple of weeks ago I did a pocket challenge in my room (you can check out my blog for photos) and my room has been clean ever since!
This looks great! YAY for you!
Wow, you are doing great! Your room looks great. I've not done so well on the small things. One has to be home to accomplish these things. :/ But when I do them it is amazing how it motivates me to keep on finding small things. Love it!
I love before and after pix!
Thanks for sharing!

Great before and afters! You go girl!

Cheryl, that is awesome! I was looking forward to seeing your before and after pics because of your post on facebook. My hubby drapes clothing too, but his favorite place is over the tv because it's conveniently right there next to the closet! :)
Have a great weekend, and thanks for praying with me. I will post an update when I know anything new.

Good for you. I am "blessed" to have an OCD husband so a rarely have clothes laying around, but there are PLENTY of other things I need to rid myself of...I just have to adjust to a dog first! :)
Wow, lovely!!! :-)
Wow! That looks terrific! My Mother in law re-wallpapered our bedroom and I'm so pleased. We've had chunks that had been ripped off for a couple of years, and now it's really pretty. I did get in and dusted everything really good this week, but our bedroom for some reason is the "catchall" for the rest of the house. Got to work on that... Yours looks great!
