I have missed linking up the past couple of months. I’ve done some traveling and just been busy and Home Sanctuary has been pushed to the side. My home has suffered as a result, so I am back and motivated! It’s been a week that I have stayed caught up and I am determined to keep going this time! I loved this task. What fun being creative in ways to create change! What was your favorite change? I even gave myself permission to change my dinner plans!
Life has been busy! Two girls in high school marching band means about 8 hours of practice a week, plus competitions (12-15 hour day on Saturdays) and weekly football games (another 6 hours). One of these same band kids also does cross country (15-20 hours a week), plus classes starting at 6:45 a.m. There is no “down time” and I can’t quite remember the last time either of these kids watched TV. Our Wii has more dust on it than I’d care to admit to. It is not uncommon for homework to be finished at midnight, leaving me with two girls who are slowly wearing out. The good news is that band and cross country will both end at the same time, with the state XC meet being the Saturday after Thanksgiving. It looks like our team will be participating, but the meet next Thursday will be the test. Our daughter (Kaylie) has had her best season ever and we pray she stays healthy and uninjured for the rest of the season!
I have also launched my new Etsy shop – scroll down to the next post to see some of the goodies I have for sale! If you’re in the market for a cozy baby blanket, let me know! If you don’t see one that you like, message me and let’s see what we can find! Coming soon…decorative pillowcases – a fun gift idea for all ages!
Have a blessed week!

Cheryl! Good to see you for coffee this morning! It sounds like you are a very busy woman right now. Honestly, I don't know how you do it. Do you stay up with them until midnight???
Good luck with your Etsy shop. I'll stop in and browse later. I am going to be a Great Aunt next month! :)

You are one busy mama! Wow! And that's considering your girls aren't even involved in as much as some kids are these days. Hope there are will be some downtime for everyone soon. Good job on starting up the Small Things. Don't they make a big difference?
Nice to read your blog again... :-)
Wow that's quite a schedule! I don't know how you or the girls keep up with it. So glad to see you back. :)
Your blankets look beautiful. I will have to remember you the next time I need a newborn client gift.
Thanks for the coffee!

Welcome back! We have had a super busy school year as well! Glad to know yours may be slowing down a bit soon!
Congrats on your Etsy shop. I am always saying that I wish I had a talent or skill that I could use to do an Etsy shop or something like it. Hopefully you will do lots of Christmas business!
Cheryl, I know how you feel with your busy life! Having 3 in High School myself along with 1 in middle and a 5th in preschool you can be pulled in multiple directions! I'm glad to see you back on your blog! I'm trying my best to stay on my blog too!
Oh, mercy. You've got to be tired. Cheryl, that is quite a schedule, girl.
I love your blankets...and I'm thinking that they would make wonderful things to have "stocked up" as gifts to new moms from our women's ministry at church. I'm going to check into funding for this....we'll talk.
Decorative pillowcases give me that tickley feeling of nostalgia because my grandmothers ALWAYS had stitched pillowcases! Love them.
Glad you're back too! Although I don't feel like you've been gone since we're friends on fb! I enjoy keeping up that way too!
You are definately in a busy season. Hang on girl as I know this one will fly by for you. Best of luck to Kaylie as she finishes up her season.
Hope all goes well with your Etsy shop...I'm going to peek.
Have a great week!

Welcome Back!
How can I not visit a blog called "The Diary of a Crazy Lady"? I love it!
And, I'm exhausted just reading about your schedule!
I look forward to coming back soon...
I'm a bit late to the party, but I'll certainly be praying for stamina for your girls! I hope that after the final Xcountry meet they can relax and enjoy the holiday season.
Decorative pillowcases are such fun - I still have the Christmas pillowcase my Mom painted for me close to forty-five years ago. I collect (well, and use too) vintage embroidered/cutwork pillowcases; love the handwork! I'm off to look at your shop...
