Today is Layne's 16th birthday ... you know the drill, Swet 16 and ... well, she's awfully sweet! LOL She started her day with 6am track/pole vault practice, but by 10am we were having pedicures, leading into shopping, then lunch at Red Lobster (her motivation: Cheddar bay biscuits!). Unfortunately, she had to head to work in the afternoon, but several friends stopped in to wish her Happy Birthday ... and buy ice cream, too! Best friend, Nikita, and another good friend, Abby, brought balloons and chocolate over and surprised her after work. Here is a picture of her holding up her main gift - car keys (symbolism - she is NOT being given the Mustang!) and an order form for the front bumper she wants for her Pony. All in all, it was a great day.
