Professor Randy Pausch died this morning. Randy was an inspiration to anyone who read his story of being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Instead of whining and crying, he determined to make the most of the rest of his life, making wonderful memories for his wife and three young children. He chose to not discuss his spiritual life in public, but it is my hope that he stood before the Lord and knew Him.
Diane Sawyer stated, “He would have loved this day and would hope that you loved yours.”
Married to a triathlete myself, I know the endurance that it takes to finish a triathlon. My hubby has completed a Half Ironman and I can't imagine him doubling that, and carrying a child the whole way. This video will blow you away. And, disclaimer here, it made my computer monitor seem a little fuzzy. Or that was just my eyes...
I would like to say that this post is about removing spiritual fences that separate us from a closer walk with God; or emotional fences that we may put up with our family.
But really...honestly...it's that the construction fences on Clovis' new In-n-Out came down today and we are just THAT much closer to eating Double Doubles 2 miles from home.
Yes, this is a big thing. Rest assured I will show pictures of my own burger at my earliest convenience.
And to my family that lives in states with no In-n-Out...well...I'm sorry. But if you come visit, lunch is on me.
