Pong. How cool were we when we had Pong? I, for one, was pretty impressed.
Then there was PacMan. That was even more cool.
My brain is muddled. Moreso than normal. I have always been proud to be the Last American Family Without Video Games. Now I am re-thinking that and shopping for a video system. I've seen the Wii demonstrated on Good Morning America. Now THAT is a system I think I could allow. But...then when you start shopping and all these other words come into your vocabulary: XBOX, XBOX 360, PS, PS2, PS3, Game Cube, Game Boy (is there a Game Girl for those of us with daughters?), etc. How do you then know what to buy? It will be used sparingly - weekends, mostly, and more of a
bribe draw for my teens to have their friends hang out HERE instead of somewhere else. While we have a pool and food, the big draw of video games seems to be lacking and I am ready to take the plunge.
Any advice? I'm not looking to dip into the kids' college funds to do this, but I do have a little money set aside.
